Art & Scripture painting #27: Jeremiah 32:17

Art & Scripture

Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
Jeremiah 32:17

One of the definitions of sovereignty according to Merriam-Webster is “freedom from external control” and this is one of the attributes of God. Isn’t it amazing to think that our sovereign God, who cannot be controlled by anything or anyone, inclines his ears to us and delights to listen to our voice? The same God that created the universe and the entire earth with over 8.7 million different species of living creatures wants to listen to what I have to say.
I had a few issues with self-image and self-esteem in my past but God has changed all that in my life over the years just by showing His love for me. And now, I get the privilege and the honor to have a relationship with this God every day. I can’t comprehend Him nor His ways fully because He is infinite and great in power and I’m so limited. Still, I long to listen to his voice and know Him more and more. This is what I’m thankful for today, how about you?

Have a wonderful week!
