Art & Scripture, painting #13: Isaiah:40:8

Art & Scripture

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. Isaiah 40:8

My recent health issues made me well aware of how fleeting our time on this earth is. They also taught me that I should use my time wisely: I have zero time to waste with distractions that could lead me further away from my purpose. I’m just another blade of grass, after all, so better make it count!

In contrast, God’s word remains forever, just like God Himself. The more I read and study the Bible the more I understand His heart, who He is, and what’s His plan for my life. I grew up in a Christian home and I read the Bible cover to cover many times throughout the years, but it was only in the past two years or so that I decided to study it deeply and systematically, to make it the best part of my day. I got to tell you, it’s been a life-changing experience. The more I read it and the more I learn from it, the more I want to keep digging in. So my invitation for you today is that you do the same, chose any method that works for you, and just try it, consistently, day after day. No matter where you are in your walk with God, you can always level up your game! There’s a reason why the word of God endures, it’s because its truths change our life like nothing else in this ephemeral world can.

Have a great week!

I love the translucent petals. Makes it look so delicate. Just like us.
