I would love to start this post by telling a great story of how brave and fierce I am but, truth be told, often this is not the case. That’s why I like to pray this verse over and over again: as an introvert, I am well aware of my weaknesses and some days are just plain too hard.
In this passage, Paul was encouraging Timothy and reminding him that we were already given a recipe against fear and timidity: as children of God we were given a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind in Him. It’s reassuring to think that my God, my Father is absolutely fearless and all-powerful. And it’s with this confidence that I start another week, knowing that He’s always by my side and His love never fails.
