Art & Scripture painting #37: Isaiah 54:10

Art & Scripture

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10

I must confess that, even after all these years of walking with the Lord, it’s still difficult for me to grasp God’s love at times. In a world where our value is measured by what you have to offer, by what you have, or what you do, this unconditional, never-changing, unfailing love still surprises me. It’s usually when I am at my lowest moments, on my messiest times, that my world-based logic hits me. How can God still love me when I am there? Oh, but he does love me no matter what. He doesn’t change and he has made a covenant of peace with me. He is faithful and he NEVER goes back in his agreement. He will ALWAYS hold his side of the deal. Mountains can be shaking all around me but he’s there, firm, a place of refuge, my strength.

Friends, what can I do when I face a love like this? I will never have any other choice other than to love him back. To want to know more about him and to please him. It will never be enough and he knows it. Still, his love is still here, always, for me and for you. Today I praise him for his covenant of peace, for his unfailing love.

Ps: Can I share a prayer request? After the recommendation of a few dear friends, I’m planning on launching the Olive Tree Art Studio online store in the upcoming weeks. I’ve been working on this for the past several months now. This blog will be migrated to a different platform and I hope there won’t be any hiccups along the way. I’ll do my best for you to receive your newsletter every Monday. That’s why I appreciate it if you can pray for a smooth transition and a successful launch. Thank you!

Have a wonderful week!
